Komikon
Filipino Komiks Convention (Komikon) is an annual event that gathers comic book artists, publishers and enthusiasts in the country. Since its founding, it has always been held at the Bahay ng Alumni in UP Diliman. The convention aims to promote the work of Filipino komiks artists and raise appreciation for the art of comics in general. In addition to guest speakers, exhibits and art contests, the convention features various sponsor booths selling comics (local and foreign), comic-related merchandise and original artwork. There is also the “Indie Tiangge” where independent or amateur comic artists can sell their own self-printed comics and merchandise.
